My Approach
My approach to therapy focuses on helping clients understand what lies beneath the surface of their experience. Many difficulties, whether in relationships or within oneself, take shape over time, and meaningful change begins by slowing down to explore the thoughts, emotions, and relational patterns involved. I draw on evidence-based approaches such as CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, Restoration Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy to guide this process.
Rather than offering quick solutions, therapy creates space to understand one’s reactions, needs, and the dynamics one is part of, including complex emotions that often remain outside awareness yet contribute to feeling stuck. At times, the work is practical and centered on communication and behavior. At other times, it involves deeper reflection on identity, responsibility, and relational roles. When appropriate, I may also recommend consultation with a qualified psychiatrist to support a more comprehensive course of care
